Manage Time Off types

What you see

Each row is a Time Off type with three behaviour flags you control:

  • Affects Availability — whether taking this type reduces the person's Availability.
  • Approval Needed — whether a request of this type must be approved before it counts.
  • Visible For Input — whether people can select this type when logging Time Off.

Add Time Off Type creates a new one.

Why the flags matter

These flags decide how the rest of Promineo treats a request. Affects Availability is what makes vacation subtract from someone's plannable time. Approval Needed is what sends a request to a manager's Time Off requests queue rather than taking effect immediately. Visible For Input lets you keep a type in the system for reporting while removing it from the picker people see.

How to use it

Set up the types your organization actually uses, and get the flags right — they're the difference between Time Off that silently reduces Availability and Time Off that waits on a decision. People then choose from these types when they request Time Off.
